Epiphany has a new review!

Found this delightful review in my inbox this morning.

From Deana at Romancing the Book:

"The connection between Everlena and Mika is just magical. It’s my feeling that they were born to love each other. I found myself smiling a lot while reading. The secondary characters bring spunk and humor to this tale. I love tales of the Fae and I think this one hits spot on."

Read the entire stunning review, which was rated a Lovely Rose (that's 4/5!) at http://romancing-the-book.com/2012/08/review-epiphany-by-heather-kuehl.html

BlogFest 2012 is coming

BlogFest 2012 is coming. From Sept 28 through Sept 30, a list of blogs will be offering some awesome giveaways, and once again I'll be participating. This year's giveaway looks to be Amazon gift cards and/or books. We'll see.

Interested? Here's some info about BlogFest 2012 from http://www.ajourneyofbooks.com/2012/08/blogfest-2012-sign-up-now.html

"Get ready to have a blast September 28-30! Looking for increased traffic to your blog? Want to get out and meet some fellow bloggers? Come join us for this annual event as we celebrate each other!
What is it?
BlogFest is a blog run of sorts. A list of participating blogs will be provided on September 28, each offering a fantastic giveaway for readers to enter. Each blog will link to another, pulling readers through the fantastic party we'll have set up for them!
Grand giveaway:
For the past two years, we have picked one blog visitor that won a great big box of fun prizes. This year, every blog that you mark on the tracking site earns you one entry. Each participating blog also gets to choose one visitor and that person earns 10 entries. One winner is chosen to win the box of awesomeness.
Finally, promote this event and have fun with it! Last year's event brought 100s of new visitors to participating blogs. What better way to get the word out about your blog and the interesting thoughts you have to share?

Rules:
The rules are quite simple.
Each blog must host a giveaway between 12:00 am EST on the 28th through 11:59 pm EST on the 30th.
There are no stipulations as to the monetary value of this giveaway.
Each blog must post the links provided to them on the days of the event.
Your BlogFest post can remain as a single post over the multiple days, but make sure there is an easily visible link to it from the top of your blog. If people can't find your giveaway, they certainly can't enter it.
Giveaway rules are up to you.
We will have the famous tracking site available for visitors to use to help track their blog visits. While it is not mandatory that you direct your visitors there, it is a tool available to you."

Back in the saddle

I finally submitted Of Wolf and Man, in its entireity, to a publisher yesterday. With all the personal crap going on, I was in no mood to edit the manuscript in its current form... until this past weekend. I had the completed manuscript printed, however computer issues meant that I was three drafts behind on the file itself. I had to sit down and go page by page, line by line, until what was in my notebook matched what was on the file. Tedious, as this book is over 45k in length, but I'm hoping it was worth it.

Now that this is finished, I'm trying to figure out what to work on next. Sarah Vargas 4 is outlined, and I think I have a page of it actually written. I also have Forbidden Magic that's 2/3 of the way finished. It's a toss up, and as long as my Muse isn't going anywhere I'll leave it in her capable hands.

Where I have been

Dear Readers,

I feel bad that I haven't posted much during these last few months, even with new releases coming out. In many ways I feel as though I've abandoned you. Now that things are settling down, I think I owe you all an explanation.

Back in December, my husband of six years left to be with another woman. I was a stay at home mom, with only my writing as my income (and we all know how little that brings in unless you're a bestselling author). I had to figure out what to do. I had an apartment to pay for and a son to take care of. Thanks to both my family and his, the rent on our apartment was paid for until the lease ended in March, at which time me and my son moved in with my mother. I got a full time job at a call center, answering questions about Medicare Advantage plans. My Muse poked at my occasionally, but I think she understood that I had a lot on my plate.

Now that things are settling down, I'm looking forward to writing again. I have OF WOLF AND MAN that still needs to be submitted to a publisher. And I've had three new releases since December; AT ALL COSTS, WHITE WOLF, and coming on July 27 LOVE AND CONSEQUENCES. All three are through MuseItUp Publishing.

In the coming weeks look for website and blog updates. I'll be "cleaning house" and starting to get things back on track. Also, if you're not already, following me on Twitter (@heatherkuehl) and on Facebook (/Author.Heather.Kuehl) to get updates.

Thank you for your understanding during this rough time,

Heather Kuehl

New review

BLOOD MOON has a fabulous new review from Bitten by Books. Carol gave it 3.5 tombstones, saying "Once again, Kuehl does an admirable job of pulling the reader in to her very interesting paranormal world with its various alliances and characters."
